Chloe and Clark were blessed to be part of a recent production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr presented by The Arts Center of Cannon County.

This was their first experience with “real” theater and it was an intense introduction. To accommodate the school schedule of the young cast, the director auditioned and cast two full casts to allow for a two week production run with each kid only involved in one week of shows.

The casts were named Blue and Red. And then there was the Purple cast which were those fortunate ones (like Chloe and Clark) who were included in both casts. There were a few cast members given parts in both casts which meant that Chloe and Clark rehearsed twice as much as the Blue and Red cast members.

Surprisingly, both Chloe and Clark seemed to gain energy from the whole process instead of becoming drained which is what we expected. In fact, they had so much fun that Cole got caught up into all the excitement and learned so many of the lines himself just from listening to the rehearsals that he could run through the lines with Chloe and Clark and he would be spot on with his timing.
