Anna called me early this afternoon to tell me she was about to call the local fire department because there was something in a tree and it wouldn’t come down.

Clark, our 9 year old, was the something in the tree and he in fact COULDN’T come down out of the tree because he was STUCK. IN. A. TREE.

Literally.

His knee was wedged in the tree and he was stuck. Anna tried to use FaceTime to show me and I tried to talk her through everything I could think of to GET CLARK OUT OF THE TREE. To no avail.

I eventually drove home to saw off part of a limb (of the tree!) and thus release my son from his bondage.

Yes, this happened today…
